* - The Free Night of Theater is a nationwide event that began in 2005. On Free Night, hundreds of theatres across the country offer up free tickets to their performances to create a highly publicized event and draw new audience members to their shows. LA Stage Alliance facilitated the program last year in Los Angeles , with over 50 theatres offering more than 4,000 tickets. The theatres were provided the contact information for the patrons who attended, allowing them to follow up with the 'free night' attendees after the event.
