THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to be celebrating its 15th Season. The company has enjoyed an amazing fourteen-year history as one of L.A.'s premier theatre companies, having swept numerous prestigious theatre award shows. During these exciting fourteen years the company's main stage productions have been honored with 14 Ovation Awards, 57 Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement A.D.A. Awards, 8 Drama Critics Circle Awards, 5 Robby Awards, 3 L.A. Weekly Awards, 2 Back Stage West Garland Awards and 32 Back Stage West "Critic's Citations."? Additionally, the company was awarded the 1998 Drama Critics Circle's prestigious Margaret Harford Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatre and the 2003 Back Stage West Landmark Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatre.

The Road Theatre Company's mission is to form and nurture a creative "homebase" for an ensemble company of actors, directors, designers, writers, and technicians, dedicated to expanding their talents and fostering a sense of ensemble and whose main purpose is to revitalize theatre in the Los Angeles area through exciting, challenging and thought-provoking productions.

To focus on the development and production of original and innovative material previously unseen by Los Angeles audiences, giving primary attention to the presentation of World, West Coast and Los Angeles premiere plays. "Classic" plays and new adaptations of published material may occasionally be included in the Road Theatre Company's season.

To concentrate on exploring all aspects of storytelling, including acting and directing as well as the creative incorporation of the elements of theatrical design.
