The PLAY7 Pass
PLAY7 started as a ticket promotion shared between a group of intimate theatres. We sold a "PLAY7 Pass"--a $27 membership that allowed unlimited $7 admissions--but the promotion was retired in March 2007, and all PLAY7 Passes have since expired.
Dynamic Promotion
While PLAY7 will no longer sell anything, we still aim to be the most comprehensive guide to quality intimate theatre in Southern California. We are currently testing a dynamic promotion system that allows theatres to offer special discounts directly to the public which are unique to each show. There's no pass to buy--you simply mention the PLAY7 Promotion Code on the show listing when you order your tickets, and you'll get the deal advertised. Not all shows listed on the site will offer promotions, but when a discount is available, you will see it and the promotion code directly below the show's image on the right-hand side of the listing.
The promotions are the sole responsibility of the listing company, so if you have a question or comment, please feel free to contact the company directly with the information they supply on the listing page. As always, ticket promotions are subject to availability, and some restrictions may apply.
New Features
We're very excited about the new features at PLAY7.com. Designed to help make your evening out as fun and carefree as possible, there are considerable improvements. Google maps now appear right on the show listing, and pinpoint the exact address of the theatre at a click of your mouse. There are also "Printer Friendly" versions of the show listings (see the link at the bottom of the page) which will allow you to print out the full show listing along with maps and promotions to take with you to the theatre. Don't have time to browse PLAY7.com? That's okay--we'll come to you with our new RSS feed of the "Now Playing" list.
We're still fine-tuning the site and some of the functionality, and hope to roll out more useful features in an organic way as we grow. Since this is a beta version of the site, feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions, by clicking on the "contact" button above.
Connect
Registered users can connect with other theatregoers and discuss what's playing in the Forums--click on the "Forums" link at the top of the page. If you're logged in, you can also add comments on each show listing at the bottom of the page by clicking "add new comment." This is a fun way to share your thoughts on an individual production.
Comments are not moderated, but they are managed -- we reserve the right to delete comments if they are abusive or threatening, contain spam messages, or are otherwise determined inappropriate for PLAY7.com. Users that abuse the site will be blocked so that PLAY7.com can remain a valuable resource for fans of intimate theatre. We are not censors, however, so feel free to post your real opinions, good and bad, as long as they are on-topic.
